We mustn’t fail Nigerians, Buhari tells ministers at first meeting (Punch)

President Muhammadu Buhari reminded ministers again on Wednesday that they mustn’t fail Nigerians who entrusted governance in their hands.

He said the prosperity, safety and security of over 200 million Nigerians were their responsibility in the next four years, adding that they must work with passion in line with the oath of office they took and the policies of the present administration.

The President spoke in Abuja when he presided over the first meeting of the Federal Executive Council since he inaugurated the cabinet for his second term on August 21.

The meeting, which was held at the Council Chambers of the Presidential Villa, opened about 11am and lasted way into evening hours. Read more
