Abeg Oga Ibe, who certified this weed? NAFDAC or NDLEA?
Ex-Vice President Atiku Abubakar’s media adviser, Justice Paul Ibe, has taken a swipe at the Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, who had asked Atiku and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to apologise to Nigerians for suing President Muhammadu Buhari over the 2019 presidential election.
Speaking from St Petersburg, Russia, on Thursday, Mohammed had asked PDP and its presidential candidate in the 2019 general elections, Atiku Abubakar, to apologise to Nigerians for “willfully distracting the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari with a frivolous election petition.”
In response, Ibe had tweeted: “Lai: Atiku should apologise to Nigerians. Me: For real? What type of weed are you smoking? It can only be #CertifiedWeed.”
LOL. Is a media adviser even supposed to tweet such? Well, I guess only a certified weed smoker can recognise another.
A presidential reminder
He said the prosperity, safety and security of over 200 million Nigerians were their responsibility in the next four years, adding that they must work with passion in line with the oath of office they took and the policies of the present administration. The President spoke in Abuja when he presided over the first meeting of the Federal Executive Council (FEC) since he inaugurated the cabinet for his second term on August 21.
He added, “Therefore, all ideas and projects that will contribute to achieving these goals shall be foremost in our deliberations.”
Mtcheew. Nowadays I’m starting to believe our presido is ‘very forgetful’. So he can say all this after clearing our doubts that his second term will be harder than concrete?
Gernot Rohr’s technical advice to Sunday Dare
Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr has called on the Minister of Youth and Sports Development, Sunday Dare, to resolve the imbroglio involving the sports ministry and the Nigerian Football Federation, which has affected the Eagles negatively.
Rohr, who has been in charge of the three-time champions for three years, also hopes Dare will help provide good football pitches across the country.
“What I wish for Nigerian football is that we should stop the conflicts between the Nigeria Football Federation and the sports ministry,” Rohr told Sports Extra. “We cannot succeed in a country when we are not together. We can only succeed when we are together.”
You’re right Mr Rohr, let’s see what Oga Dare will do. At least we know what the past minister, the ‘cultural dancer’, did.
Pilots get down to earth with coffee
A passenger aircraft with 337 people on board was forced to divert in February after the pilot spilled coffee on the controls panel, UK investigators say.
The Airbus A330-243 from Frankfurt, Germany, to Cancun, Mexico, had to land in Shannon, Ireland, the Air Accidents Investigation Branch (AAIB) reports. This was because the pilots’ audio control panels (ACP) started melting and there was smoke in the cockpit.
The pilots had to use oxygen masks. There were no injuries.
Hmmm. Thank God no lives were lost. The pilot go still hear am though.
One travelling bag of snakes and other crawling creatures
An Austrian man who smuggled 88 living reptiles including 43 poisonous snakes from the Philippines was stopped by customs officers at Vienna airport, Austria’s Finance Ministry said Thursday.
When the Austrian national arrived via Doha on Sunday, the officers screened his suitcase and saw that it was full of animals. After the man admitted that it contained poisonous snakes, the officers decided to transfer the closed luggage to Vienna’s Schoenbrunn Zoo, where experts opened it.
They found Samar cobras, Mangrove snakes and vipers, as well as dozens of monitor lizards and geckos. Many of the smaller animals were transported in nylon stockings.
LMAO. I’m here imagining if this were to happen in Naija and those ‘loaders’ that help load people’s bags and Ghana-must-gos were to try loading this snake-filled suitcase and it bursts open… Chai!
