A former senior White House official has accused the US President’s administration of destroying five boxes of evidence that were meant to be handed over to the Mueller investigation.
Omarosa Manigault Newman, Donald Trump’s former aide, said she and other White House staff were given a ‘clear directive’ to preserve all documents that could be potential evidence in Robert Mueller’s probe into Russian collusion during the 2016 election.
When she was fired in December 2017, she left seven boxes of documents relating to the campaign, inauguration and transition behind.
But when the Mueller investigation was published, Omarosa claims only two of the boxes of evidence were referred to, leading her to believe that the other five were destroyed. Read more
