Your heart always sinks when you realise you’ve lost something – it’s usually the morning after a night out, when you find yourself scrambling around desperately trying to track down your phone… only to have to accept the fact that it’s probably gone forever.
Well, one woman got quite the surprise when something she’d lost 12 years ago turned up – in the most unlikely of places, as well. Linda Keitch, 69, was reunited with a long-lost gold ring after it showed up in her back garden. Specifically, it showed up on a carrot. Linda (or Lin, as she’s usually known) had been given the gold ring with a heart-shaped amethyst stone by husband Dave for her 40th birthday.
