To celebrate World Music Day, which originated in France in 1981, Institut français of Nigeria, Alliance française of Lagos and the Label VOLUME are staging a unique concert in Lagos.
A statement from the organisers Wednesday said that in the spirit of World Music Day, everyone is invited to the free concert which starts at 8pm and is headlined by French and Nigerian artistes.

It’s the week of World Music Day and Showgear and the organising partners of Make Music Lagos 2018, which brought 16 free concerts your way on Thursday, June 21st, 2018 across various locations in the city of Lagos, is set to stage a free mega concert tagged the “Lagos Shutdown” on Sunday, June 24th, 2018 at the Muri Okunola Park, Victoria Island featuring Waje, Vector, Praiz, Johnny Drille, Femi Leye, Tim Godfrey, Folabi Nuel, Alternate Sound, Mela, Boom Sha, DJ Cypha and more. Realtime International Film Festival
The Realtime International Film Festival (RTF) is set to take place on the Lagos mainland. There will be film screenings, CONTEX – the Realtime Content and Tech Exchange, a keynote by film-maker Femi Odugbemi on June 29 and a host of other interesting industry activities.
