Yoruba group demands special status for Lagos(Vanguard)

A Pan-Yoruba Socio-cultural Group, Yoruba KO’YA Movement, yesterday, presented a 10-page policy paper on the restructuring of Nigeria’s political, economic and social structures to the Speaker of Lagos State House of Assembly, Mr. Mudashiru Obasa even as it called on the federal government to grant special status to Lagos State. Addressing newsmen, the National Organizing Secretary of the movement, Comrade Maxwell Adeleye said: “Every conscious and passionate Nigerian should join the call for the restructuring of Nigeria.
