In a vibrant tribute to Nigeria’s youngest citizens this Children’s Day, Quramo’s QBook Café buzzed with inspiration as it hosted a special edition of its “Voices of Tomorrow” series.

The event, a celebration of the rights, dreams, and powerful voices of children, featured an engaging essay competition that also serves as the central theme for the upcoming QFest 2025: Quramo Festival of Words, “A Brave New World.”

Students were challenged to envision the world they aspire to inhabit, and their responses were truly remarkable. Essays, brimming with clarity, imaginative flair and firm conviction, were not only penned but passionately performed before a captivated audience.

The showcase culminated with Princess Egwuatu and Bammeke Maria of Holy Child College, Ikoyi, securing the top two spots. Vernice Itamah and Hadassah Ezeh from Reeds School followed, taking third and fourth place, respectively, all impressing with their insightful perspectives and articulate expression.

Quramo, through this initiative, underscored its profound belief in the power of young storytellers. By empowering these burgeoning voices with both pen and microphone, the organisation reiterated that children are not merely future leaders, but powerful architects of narratives today. Their words serve as a potent reminder that the future is not simply built for them, but inherently with them.

As these young minds envision “A Brave New World,” the anticipation for their contributions in shaping it grows exponentially.
