Zainab Ahmed takes over from Kemi Adeosun (Vanguard)

President Muhammadu Buhari has appointed Zainab Ahmed, the minister of State for national Planning to oversee the Federal Ministry of Finance.

Zainab was appointed following the resignation of Kemi Adeosun on Friday, last week.

Adeosun reportedly resigned following the allegation of possessing an invalid discharge certificate issued by the National Youth Service Corps, NYSC.
