Mr Peter Obi has denied having any hand in his 2023 presidential campaign posters being circulatedย  both offline and online, through differentย  social media platforms.

The Vice Presidential candidate of the Peopleโ€™s Democratic Party (PDP) for the 2019 election made this known in a statement made available by his Media Office and signed by Mr. Valentine Obienyem, saying that the office had been lately inundated by those seeking clarifications on Obiโ€™s presidential posters being circulated through various media platforms.ย

The release made it clear that Obi is not in any way connected to, neither has he contracted/authorised anybody or organisation to promote such on his behalf.

The release further noted that Obi is not the one to jump the gun on a matter on which the party is yet to give final directives.

โ€œAs a faithful party man,โ€ the release adds, โ€œhe will abide by the final position of the party on the issue.โ€

However, the release frowned at peopleโ€™s preoccupation with the next election when the situation in the country, according to Obi, calls urgently for all hands to be on deck   towards the restoration of security, eradication of poverty, creation of jobs and provision of other productive ventures for the countryโ€™s teeming unemployed youths, improving education and making health care accessible in the country.

โ€œThese are precisely what Obi is concerned with right now,โ€ the release concludes.
