216 more infected with COVID-19 in Nigeria

On a day when the Federal Government extended the easing of lockdown in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Lagos and Ogun states, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) confirmed 216 fresh COVID-19 coronavirus cases in the country.

Emanating from 10 states and the FCT, the NCDC listed via tweet Monday night the states and the figures as Lagos (74); Katsina (33); Oyo (19); Kano (17); Edo (13) and Zamfara (10). Others are eight each in Ogun, Gombe and Borno; seven each in Bauchi and Kwara, while the FCT has four and there are three each in Kaduna and Enugu as well as two in Rivers.

The national tally is 6,175 with 1,644 patients discharged and 191 deaths.
