Alex Iwobi, Nigerian Arsenal midfielder has signed a four-year contract extension with the club until 2023.
The Premier League club announced Friday.
The 22-year-old who has been with the Gunners since he was nine years old, came through the club’s Hale End Academy, breaking into the first team in 2015.

Emery, the club’s new manager said, “I’m very pleased Alex has signed a new contract with us.”
“He is a great example of a player who can succeed from the Academy through hard work and I look forward to working with him and our other talented young players in the squad,” he said.
Iwobi has made 98 appearances for the Gunners with nine goals.
“It’s always been my childhood dream to represent Arsenal, from young,” he told Arsenal’s official website.
“To get an extended contract is an amazing feeling and I hope I’m doing the Arsenal family proud as well as my family.”
Arsenal’s new manager is preparing the Gunners for a match against Lazio which rounds off their pre-season friendly.
The club begins their Premier League campaign against last season champions, Manchester City at the Emirates on August 12.
