Alexandre Lacazette has hinted that he is still frustrated with his reduced role at Arsenal after being withdrawn early in the Gunners’ Europa League win over Napoli on Thursday night.
The French striker, who started alongside Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in an away game for the first time since February, scored the only goal in Naples with a brilliant first-half free-kick.
It sealed a 3-0 aggregate win as Arsenal stormed into the semi-finals of the Europa League, where they will now meet manager Unai Emery’s old club Valencia.
Lacazette was withdrawn in the 68th minute against Napoli, replaced by Alex Iwobi, and has now only completed 90 minutes in just two of the Gunners’ last 10 matches. Read more
