The Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, said yesterday that democracy would be better off without the Peoples Democracy Party (PDP) because its leaders have failed to know when to set politics aside and stand for Nigeria.
The minister stated this while addressing newsmen in the wakes of PDP’s criticisms that the abduction and subsequent return of girls from a school in Dapchi, Yobe State, was staged managed to beep up President Muhammadu Buhari’s alleged failing popularity. He said the abduction was real, and that the Federal Government did all it could to secure release of the girls without payment of ransom to the Boko Haram insurgents. Read more
