Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, has restated his earlier claim that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has no power to investigate the financial transactions of the state government.
Wike also said the EFCC must first vacate the Federal Government High Court judgment, which declared that the anti-graft agency should not investigate the financial transactions of the state before any investigation could take place.
The governor spoke on Thursday during a courtesy visit by the Group Managing Director-Designate of Zenith Bank Plc, Ebenezer Onyeagwu.
