Force PRO condemns officer assault in viral video

Force Public Relations Officer, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, has condemned the physical assault of a yet-to-be-identified man by some police officers in a viral video.

He made this known on X.com on Tuesday.

The viral video shared on social media on Tuesday, showed police officers beating a man with sticks and their bare hands on Jogunosimi Street, Alausa, Lagos.

An X user who identifies as PIDCOM on X.com shared the video with the caption, โ€œPolice #PoliceNG officers from the Lagos State police command were caught on camera assaulting an innocent man around Jogunosimi street, in Alausa Lagos this afternoon.

โ€œSadly, the brutality and lawlessness has taken another dimension. ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ #BenHundeyin #Princemoye1โ€

Reacting to the video, Adejobi said, โ€œThis is not acceptable. The matter has been referred to Lagos Command for investigation.
