Force Public Relations Officer, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, has condemned the physical assault of a yet-to-be-identified man by some police officers in a viral video.
He made this known on X.com on Tuesday.
The viral video shared on social media on Tuesday, showed police officers beating a man with sticks and their bare hands on Jogunosimi Street, Alausa, Lagos.
An X user who identifies as PIDCOM on X.com shared the video with the caption, โPolice #PoliceNG officers from the Lagos State police command were caught on camera assaulting an innocent man around Jogunosimi street, in Alausa Lagos this afternoon.

Reacting to the video, Adejobi said, โThis is not acceptable. The matter has been referred to Lagos Command for investigation. The PPRO logos, #BenHundeyin, has been directed to address the matter and update the public on the fact of the case. Thanks. #BenHundeyin, #PoliceNG, #LagosPoliceNGโ (Punch)
