Harry Styles fans won’t get their wish after all – the former One Direction star has turned down the chance to play Prince Eric in the live action remake of The Little Mermaid according to new reports.
According to The Wrap, sources close to the production claimed Harry ‘is a fan of the project but respectfully declined’, after it was claimed earlier in the day that he had been confirmed for the role.
The DisInsider had previously claimed he had signed on to star opposite Halle Bailey’s Ariel in the latest Disney remake, however Metro.co.uk understands he won’t be appearing in the film.
Fans had been campaigning for him to get the role – which, let’s be honest, he’s totally made for – since news of the remake was confirmed. Read more
