The governor of Imo state, Emeka Ihedioha, has denied the rumour that he was the brain behind the sealing of Rochas Foundation College, Owerri, East High Primary and Secondary schools, Owerri and All-In Supermarket by the Economic Financial Crimes Commission.
The schools and investments which belonged to the immediate past governor of the state, Rochas Okorocha, and members of his family were sealed by the operatives of the anti-graft agency.
The Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Chibuike Onyeukwu, told The PUNCH on Wednesday that there was no truth in the allegation that Ihedioha was behind the sealing of the assets which are traceable to his predecessor.
According to the governor, it was a pure fallacy that he sponsored petitions to the EFCC against Okorocha which resulted in the sealing of the assets. Read more
