Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State has said that the Independent National Electoral Commission alone cannot guarantee credible elections.
Okorocha who spoke in Owerri, the state capital, said that for the elections to be credible, security Agencies and religious organizations must play critical roles.
The governor who said that he had implicit confidence in the INEC, insisted that president Muhammadu Buhari will win the February 16, presidential election.
The governor said, “I have confidence in INEC but the truth is that INEC alone cannot guarantee credible elections. The police, Army and all the security Agencies have to be involved. Religious organizations and other stakeholders in society have to be involved. Read more
