The national leader of the All Progressives Congress, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, has applauded the courage and decision of President Muhammadu Buhari in declaring June 12 as the Democracy Day, describing it as “the fulfilment of a dream”.
In a statement signed by Tinubu, he said Buhari’s decision had corrected the wrong of the past, adding that his decision meant Nigeria was ready to face history. He said “Along with all democratic and fair-minded Nigerians, I welcome the news that June 12 will replace May 29 as Democracy Day.
