Authorities on Wednesday reported that an unknown man killed a kindergarten teacher and injured nine more in a knife attack at a day care centre in central Poland.
Poland’s PAP news agency reported that the attacker was a 19-year-old man and the teacher killed was his ex-girlfriend in the Polish village of Tomislawice, adding that unrequited love might be the motive for the crime.
The agency added that five people were hospitalised with knife wounds, with four others receiving on-site assistance.
The attacker was arrested by the police at his home an hour after committing the crime.
As many as 13 people were in the day care facility when the attack took place, according to the Polish news agency. (Sputnik/NAN)
