Starting at 8am today, Nigerians will troop out to their polling units to cast their votes. They will be voting to elect a new president as well as senators and members of the house of representatives.

First off, Nigerians will be voting for one president out of 23 candidates who are running for the highest office in the land. Incumbent Muhammadu Buhari and former Vice President Atiku Abubakar are front runners.
109 senators are expected to emerge alongside 360 members of the house of representatives.
Elections will take place in 176,000 locations across Nigeria.
72m Nigerians have picked up their PVCs.
INEC will be using 825,543 adhoc staff for the polls.
They will suprintend over 707,892 ballot boxes and polling booths.
80,000 vehicles have been mobilised by INEC to move men and materials around the country logistics wise.
996 boats have been mobilised for the riverine areas.
There are 73,000 observers drawn from 120 domestic and 36 foreign organisations.
