Olivia Rodrigo knows the show must go on!
During the London stop of her sold-out GUTS World Tour on Tuesday night, May 14, the “Drivers License” hitmaker survived an onstage wardrobe mishap.
A viral video shared by TikTok user @badtakesbyclyde shows the 21-year-old performing “Love Is Embarrassing” when, without warning, the back of her crop top unfastened.
Rodrigo kept the show going, singing while one of her background dancers did their best to try and properly hook the top during the performance.
“The dancer desperately trying to save it 😭,” one person commented. Another wrote, “The dancer prancing after her LMAOO.”
However, the pop star continued the performance, only slightly toning down her choreography as she physically held onto the top with one hand and held her microphone in the other.
Rodrigo was a good sport about the kerfuffle once she got it under control.
“This is f—— embarrassing,” she told the audience while laughing it off. “I almost flashed you guys, but it’s okay now!”
The “Vampire” singer is a pro when it comes to keeping her fans entertained.
During her Dublin tour stop in late April, Rodrigo sweetly and subtly changed the lyrics to her song “So American,” sending her supporters — who believed the switch up was for boyfriend, actor Louis Partridge — into a frenzy.
“I don’t wanna assume this stuff/ But ain’t it love?/ Think I’m in love,” she sings on the original version.
According to a fan video shared to X (formerly known as Twitter), the singer replaced the last line with, “‘Cause I’m in love.”
Rodrigo and the 20-year-old London-born actor sparked dating rumors in October 2023 and confirmed their romance in December.
“Dating probably shouldn’t be done in the public eye. There’s enough going on between two people. You don’t need the voices of thousands of others in your head. I think she’s got it a lot worse than I have. I can be a bit of a normal person. She’s got tons and tons of eyes on her case,” Partridge told British Vogue of their relationship in March.
And the “Good 4 U” singer has still been staying focused.
When No Doubt reunited for the first time since 2015 at Coachella in April, Rodrigo hit the stage as the band’s special guest.
The group performed hits “It’s My Life,” “Just a Girl” and “Bathwater,” the latter of which featured some added vocals from Rodrigo.
As a bonus tribute to the band, Rodrigo wore a white tank top that read “I [heart] ND.” (People)
