Meditation, Perpie Soul’s album is ready for release on Sunday, August 5. A creative collaboration that features highly creative musicians and producers such as Jerry Gozie, Timothy Ogunbiyi, Philip Uzo, Tombrapade Robert and Samson Ita, it will be available on iTunes and other online music stores for purchase.
The album is produced by Penthouse Studios, organisers of the concert held at the Steinway Showroom, Victoria Island, Lagos in February 2018 where Perpie Soul gave a foretaste performance of the songs in Meditation holding her audience transfixed. It was there that she also gave the assurance that her album was in the offing this year. Targeted at satiating the rising demands for her songs, the artiste’s teeming fans, who have hankered for years to have chunky taste of her works would find this collection satisfactory.
“Her very first studio recording titled ‘Untitled’, an instrumental piece written and produced by Timothy Ogunbiyi, speaks of God’s love and invitation to grace. She felt the need to continue to share her own story and went on to write her first song, which she titled ‘Beautiful’, a soft rock composition inspired by her childhood with very deep and reflective lyrics of ‘broken pieces from her treasure box. ‘Beautiful’ would be her first recording as a singer and it has received great reviews from the public, friends and the media,” says Perpie’s manager Justus Nacho.
According to Perpie “music is my creative way of weaving all the pieces of my world into an attractive and edifying million-sized pizza for all to share.”
