Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr has called on the Minister of Youth and Sports Development, Sunday Dare, to resolve the imbroglio involving the sports ministry and the Nigerian Football Federation, which has affected the Eagles negatively, Sports Extra reports.
Rohr, who has been in charge of the three-time champions for three years, also hopes Dare will help provide good football pitches across the country.
“What I wish for Nigerian football is that we should stop the conflicts between the Nigeria Football Federation and the sports ministry,” Rohr told Sports Extra.
“We cannot succeed in a country when we are not together. We can only succeed when we are together. I saw this everywhere I coached. While I was in Burkina Faso, the sports minister attended the team’s matches and he was even paying the salaries of the coaches, paying for trips and bonuses. Read more
