Sirika shuns Buhari’s directive to inaugurate Aviation Boards (Independent)

Exactly a month after President Muhammadu Buhari directed ministers to inaugurate boards of parastatals and agencies in their ministries, Senator Hadi Sirika, Minister of State for Aviation, has failed to implement same in the country’s aviation industry.

A source close to one of the agencies told Independent over the weekend that some people in the ministry were not comfortable with some names on the boards for inauguration and are therefore tactically delaying their swearing in.

Five out of the six agencies in the aviation industry are supposed to have boards of directors, according to Acts setting them up. Read more
