If I swear for some people, that curse will rule their lives forever; but I will not curse them, I will not bless them either, I will leave them in the hands of the Living God!
My sister, people are wicked especially some of these young boys of today. Ok, I own a phone shop in computer village; small shop o that I am using to manage myself. I sell second hand phones, I also have an online store as well; people can view my market and call for purchase.
I got a call and the caller said they wanted to buy phones; iphone 6 and iphone 8plus. After we agreed on the prices, I told him I would send my boy to bring the phones. Now this is not an unusual business and it won’t even be the first time we do this type of thing; it is a daily business. I think you get me?
So that day I packaged the phones and sent my boy to go to the address to deliver. Now we also make use of these okada guys; I asked the rider to take my boy to the venue, wait for him to deliver the phones then collect the money and bring him back to the shop in computer village.
The reason I did that was because, if the customers were going to pay cash, my boy would not be carrying cash all over town. I think you understand? He could get attacked or something like that. Okada charged me N3,000; the phones costs N180k and N165k.
They said they lived in Surulere and that once my boy gets to Bode Thomas junction, he should call and they would direct him to their address.
My boy called them and they directed him to their house; they thought my boy came alone, they didn’t know that the okada that dropped him was meant to wait outside to bring him back; that was what saved us!
Meanwhile, as soon as my boy got to the address, he called me. I told him not to put me on speaker and not put off his phone so that I could hear their conversations. I heard them, as they were telling my boy the phones were not what they saw online and they began to price it low. I heard three people’s voices. Then I spoke out, I told them that if they knew they didn’t want the phones, they should just give it back to my boy to bring back to the shop; I had already concluded they were bad market. They must have collected the phone from my boy because after they told me that I shouldn’t worry that they would pay but my boy would have to follow them to the nearest ATM; my boy’s phone went off and so I couldn’t follow up on what was going on.
I called his phone and their number several times… nothing, I even used the phones of the other people close to my shop to call, all phones were off!
Bad market!
Once the phone was off, they pounced on my boy and beat him to nonsense, they broke his two front teeth and almost blinded him then they kept him there for hours begging for his life.
During all of these period, I had no idea what was going on, I had become worried, I kept calling my boy and still no response. Unfortunately for me, I didn’t even have the number of the okada that took him; so I was seriously panicking; what if they have killed my boy and taken the phones? How would I explain to his family that I didn’t know anything about it?
Mark you, on the phones, I was going to make just 10k each; if you remove money for okada what is left? Is that what somebody will enter wahala for?
See enh, panic wanted to kill me. You also know that I myself didn’t know the address, it was when my boy got to Surulere that he called them and they directed him to their place.
So, the okada man, after waiting for more than 30 minutes for my boy; he went into the building to look for him, he saw three boys in one bungalow, they told him my boy had been paid and he had left a long time ago. That was how he knew there was trouble, he didn’t tell them that he was supposed to bring him back to computer village, he just said, ‘ok, thank you’ and left.
When he came back to the computer village without my boy. I almost collapsed! Me wey my eye tear reach back, dem do me 419!
I just climbed the okada again, I said, ‘take me to the place’; when we got there; they were saying there was nobody like that there, ok. I went to the police in the area and reported the case.
Police followed me…after I don ‘drop’ for police o.
We found my boy, beaten black and blue with two front teeth gone! Phones nko?
It became an ‘Evidence’
E no go better for these boys, I swear!
Till today, my boy has not fully recovered, I am still looking for money to buy new front teeth for him; I have been ‘dropping’ money so that police will fasten the case…yes the boys were caught and still haven’t been released but I am spending money regularly on a case I don’t want anymore.
