President Bola Tinubu has appointed three directors-general and a special adviser on media and public communications, according to a statement by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President (Information & Strategy).
The announcement reflects the administration’s commitment to strategic leadership in key sectors.
The appointees include Mr. Olawale Olopade as Director-General of the National Sports Commission. Olopade, a seasoned sports administrator, previously served as Ogun Stateโs commissioner for youth and sports and chaired the local organizing committee of the 2024 National Sports Festival.
Dr. Abisoye Fagade, a marketing communications expert and founder of Sodium Brand Solutions, will lead the National Institute for Hospitality and Tourism as its new Director-General. Dr. Adebowale Adedokun, formerly the director of research and strategic planning at the Bureau of Public Procurement, has been elevated to head the bureau.
Daniel Bwala, a lawyer and respected public affairs analyst, has been appointed Special Adviser on Public Communications and Media, reinforcing the State Houseโs media engagement strategy.
President Tinubu urged the appointees to uphold dedication, patriotism, and excellence in their duties as they contribute to Nigeriaโs progress.
