Tianjin Teda midfielder John Obi Mikel, through Mikel Obi Foundation, has announced the launch of talent hunt series tagged ‘Africa’s Next Football Superstar’.
The series eligible for kids between the ages of 13-16 years is expected to hold across three African countries – Nigeria, South Africa and Algeria.
Five winners will be chosen from the host nations which will then be narrowed to nine youngsters who will win an all-expense paid trip to the United Kingdom and trial with a top English club that will span a period of two weeks with an opportunity to earn a year contract with the club’s youth team.
